Chef Navi (Operations Manager)
Navi has outstanding cooking skills and considerable experience in managing and undertaking restaurant operations. Navi has worked as a chef in several five-star hotels and in restaurants locally and internationally.
In New Zealand, Navi worked as a chef at Good Homes and Twisted Hop before starting his own landmark restaurant Blackbird Bar and Cafe in Sumner, which soon became a hotspot for locals and beach visitors. After that, Navi took over the Chillingworth Road restaurant at Cranford Street and is able to manage it successfully.
Now Navi is delighted to debut her second restaurant at Christchurch Art Gallery.
Apart from running a business, Navi is a keen and passionate cricketer. He can still be found rolling the arm over as a medium-pace bowler within his hospitality and cultural community. When he is not heading up kitchen staff or hitting sixes, he can be found spending time with his young family and catering to his many friends who always seem to “pop-in” around mealtimes.
